About me ... briefly !

I was born in São José dos Campos (100 Km from São Paulo) in 1981. My academic trajectory starts with a bachelor in electrical engineering in the State University of Campinas ( UNICAMP - 2004), where I took the first contact to the world of biopotentials and biomedical engineering. Since that, I took a Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering (UNICAMP - 2007) working on fluorescence microscopy instrumentation and biological experimentation on Ca2+ regulation in isolated cardiac myocytes. In the following, I took a PhD in Electrical Engineering (UNICAMP - 2011) in computation and automation working on stability analysis, control and signal processing in the context of nonlinear dynamics.

Currently I am assistent professor of biomedical engineering at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) in São Bernardo do Campo (São Paulo metropolitan region) with main interests on: stability analysis of nonlinear systems - specialy neuronal ones; Biomedical signal processing and pattern recognition applied to biopotentials signals: EEG and EMG. I love to give classes - usually I teach mathematical methods for biomedical engineering, electrical circuits, biomedical signal processing, etc - and supervise undergraduating and postgraduating projects. I am also member of the Brazilian Society of Biomedical Engineering (SBEB) and frequently work on scientific committees of related symposiums and congresses.
I am married and I really enjoy taking pictures, drinking coffee, walking and swimming, hearing Villa-Lobos and Pearl Jam. I am addicted to food trucks.
